Core BTS Achieves Cisco Partner Environmental Sustainability Specialization

By: Core BTS | May 23, 2022

Core BTS announced today that it has achieved the Environmental Sustainability Specialization through the Cisco Partner Program.

The distinction indicates that Core BTS has successfully completed exams about operationalizing environmental sustainability practices and is prepared to help organizations reuse, recycle, or refurbish end-of-life products instead of disposing of them.

“We are proud to be working towards a sustainable future with our clients and Cisco. This specialization is proof of our commitment to helping organizations migrate to sustainable technology options and recycle end-of-life products,” said John Samz, SVP of Cisco Channel Alliance at Core BTS.

As part of the Environmental Sustainability Specialization, Core BTS has signed Cisco’s Sustainability Pledge that supports a commitment made by Cisco CEO Chuck Robbins to have 100% product return on end-of-use hardware. This pledge also supports Cisco’s goals to:

  • Be net zero across global Scope 1,2 and 3 emissions by 2040
  • Ensure 100 percent of its products and packaging incorporate Circular Design Principles by FY2025
