Attendee Passport Requirements
Dominican Republic International Travel Information (state.gov)
You will be required to have a valid passport to travel for this event. Please make sure your passport is valid and up to date prior to departure. Passports must be valid for the period of stay in the Dominican Republic with at least one blank page for an entry stamp.
Travel Expenses & Reimbursement
Local travel to and from the airport in your hometown and travel meals charged for this trip must follow standard expense policies for travel and parking. Excellence resort is an all-inclusive property, and all on-property restaurant meals and drinks are included in your stay, with the exception of room service. Core BTS is not responsible for the reimbursement of room service or added room charges, added activities, or meals taken off-property during your stay in Punta Cana.
Attire
Welcome Reception: Resort Casual
Resort casual dress refers to a style of dress one would find in a casual setting at a beach resort or country club. For men, this usually means linen pants, shorts, button-down shirts (short sleeve and shorts acceptable). Men and women may wear any kind of tennis shoes or sandal. For women, this dress code consists of a casual dress, pant or throw. Bathing suites should not be worn. Open-toe shoe is perfectly acceptable.
Friday Evening Dinner: Resort Elegant
Resort Elegant dress refers to a style of dress one would find in an upscale setting at a beach resort or country club. For men, this usually means khaki pants, button-down collared shirts (possibly short sleeve), and loafers or dress shoes. Men should be wearing blazers. Men should not wear any kind of tennis shoes or sandal. For women, this dress code consists of a dress (usually a sundress or a dress of a light fabric). If you decide not to wear a dress, capri pants or longer shorts and a blouse are acceptable. Women can wear either a nice dress shoe or a dress sandal (Open-toe is perfectly all right for Resort Elegant) Since the atmosphere is usually relaxed, the clothing should feel like a very nice extension of that atmosphere.

Local standard time zone for Punta Cana is Atlantic Standard Time (AST) which is 1 hour ahead of Eastern Standard Time (EST).

Currency
The official currency is the Dominican Peso (DOP), but U.S. dollars are widely accepted in tourist areas. Having some local currency on hand is advisable.
Language
Spanish is the official language spoken in the Dominican Republic. English is widely understood and spoken for travelers.
Alert your credit card carriers of your expected travel, and make sure to check your mobile phone carrier policy on international phone coverage before departure.
