Updates on the 7/19 CrowdStrike Incident Response

An update to the security firm’s Falcon service last night has led to many Windows users being unable to work this morning. Microsoft 365 is also affected.

The Core BTS Managed Services team has received more than 1000 calls from customers looking for help. We're publishing this page to share more information as we learn more.

For our managed service clients, please reach out to the Core BTS managed services team for direct support.  We're working with a large volume of incoming calls, so we ask your patience. Additionally, we do have a CrowdStrike partner we can engage if clients need a higher level of support.

The most up-to-date information and guidance from CrowdStrike can be found here:
https://www.crowdstrike.com/blog/statement-on-windows-sensor-update/.

The article includes general information on the outage and remediation steps (found under “Current Actions” or the workaround sections).

If clients would like to discuss alternatives to CrowdStrike or for those who would like to discuss adding a managed services partner for future support, please contact us.

Core BTS is a digital transformation consultancy that helps organizations simplify technical complexity, accelerate transformation, and drive business outcomes.
