Manufacturer Implements MIM to Manage Mobile Workforce
A global manufacturer of resins and specialty chemicals realized that they had an increasingly mobile workforce. Existing technology could not support their changing workforce. As a result, they reached out to Core BTS to help them perform enterprise planning and technical integrations to support their changing workforce and evolving IT strategy. First, Core BTS partnered with the client to upgrade their on-premises Exchange 2010 and Lync 2010 environments to on-premises Exchange 2016 and Skype for Business 2015. Then, Core BTS work alongside the client to integrate their on-premises Windows Active Directory environment with Azure Active Directory, as well as implement Azure AD Connect to provide single sign-on capabilities to employees. Core BTS also performed a review of the client's Windows Server R2 Active Directory Federation Services Infrastructure to determine viability and security.
Upon conclusion of the aforementioned projects, Core BTS assisted the manufacturer with the migration of their existing identity management solution, Sun One Identity Manager, to Microsoft Identity Manager 2016. Doing so helped the client keep existing functionality of their old identity management solution as well provide new capabilities.
